Breast Implant Incision Options

4 Breast Incision Options:

1. Transumbilical Incision: Only done with saline breast implants.

2. Transaxilary Incision: No scarring around the breast, however the recovery and breast implant placement is more difficult. This caused more revision surgeries.

3. Periareolar Incision: Better looking scar, but, higher risk of numbness, infection and capsular contracture.

4. Infamammary Incision: Allows proper placement of shaped (anatomical) implants and also makes it easier to control the breast fold position.
